SPLITTING AMOUNT TO OPEN MULTIPLE NUMBER OF ACCOUNTS IN THE SAME PERSON

Sir,

Directorate vide letter dated 19.08.2015 has instructed Postal administrative officers to stop the practice of splitting amount to open multiple number of accounts in the name of same person in order to achieve the target. But the instructions are thrown to wind. It is learnt last week in Valivalam SO 100 RD accounts of Rs.10/- denominations in the name of single depositor were opened as per oral instructions from higher ups. Willful violation of Directorate instruction is clear misconduct and Disciplinary action should be caused to be initiated against erring OFFICERS.
